ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Oluwatomi A. Ajayi

Oluwatomi A. Ajayi (nee Awolesi) LLM is a Lawyer by profession having graduated from the University of Lagos, the Nigerian Law School and the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies. Her research interests include police procedures, environment, health, forensic science and their intersection with criminal law. Apart from publishing peer-reviewed articles in law journals and book chapters, she is also the author of a law textbook titled “Simplified Criminal Law in Nigeria‘. She was former Chairperson, Research Committee of African Women’s Lawyers Association, Nigeria Chapter and presently the Secretary, Continuing Legal Education & Practice Development Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ikeja Branch. In May 2022, she won the first position in the essay competition organised by the Sherlock Institute of Forensic Science India with her article titled “Wildlife Forensics“.
